Chisenhale is a community school and caters for pupils from many different ethnic and religious backgrounds. As a school we are commited to educating all pupils about ‘world religions’ using the Tower Hamlets Agreed Syllabus for religious education (RE).

“Tower Hamlets celebrates its rich heritage of culture and diversity. Tower Hamlets believes that a broad and balanced curriculum should prepare our children for life in modern day Britain so they can make a positive contribution.”- Extract from Tower Hamlets Agreed RE syllabus 2017-2022

We view the diversity of religious belief within our school to be a strength and a learning opportunity for all our children. We expect all pupils to learn about, and learn from different faiths but also seek to celebrate each other’s faith life through festivals, music and food. The school has collective worship which focuses on issues that affect everyone in the school community.
